Role Overview
ZaroLand is our eco-adventure park concept: trails, skybridges, rope courses, cabins, and story-driven experiences set in nature. The first site is planned in the highlands near Amman, with a roadmap to expand into other countries. As Managing Director – ZaroLand Parks, you will own this entire vertical, from land and master planning to operations and guest experience. You're part developer, part operator, part storyteller.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of ZaroLand parks: site identification and feasibility, land negotiations and agreements, master planning with architects and planners, design, construction, commissioning, and launch.
- Work with engineers and consultants to ensure all activities and structures are safe, compliant, and nature-first.
- Own the business model and P&L: ticketing strategy, capacity, F&B, retail, cabins/lodging, events.
- Set and uphold safety, maintenance, and operating standards for activities like rope courses, ziplines, skybridges and elevated walks.
- Build and lead the park operations team: operations managers, guest services, maintenance, safety, and seasonal staff.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, tourism boards, landowners, and investors.
- Work with ShopZaro to integrate physical retail and merchandising into the park experience.
- Coordinate with Media & Gaming on AR trails, interactive missions, events and story-driven activations.
- Create a playbook for replication of ZaroLand in new geographies – templates, standards, and processes.
- Report clearly on timelines, budgets, risks, and performance to the founder and board.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years in one or more of: theme parks/attractions, eco-tourism, adventure parks, resorts, or mixed-use leisure development.
- Demonstrated experience delivering and/or operating at least one major project (park, resort, attraction, or similar).
- Comfort with both physical development (land, permits, construction) and operations (staffing, guest experience, safety, P&L).
- Strong stakeholder management skills with government, municipalities, contractors, and partners.
- A genuine interest in nature, sustainability, and families, not just building concrete attractions.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
- You're comfortable reporting directly to the founder and board, and presenting to investors when needed.
