Role Overview
ZaroVerse studios will turn our universe into moving stories – from short-form social content to animated webisodes, trailers, and brand films. As Head of Media & Animation, you will run the studio side: strategy, pipeline, partners and output quality. You'll work closely with the founder and (over time) a Chief Creative Officer to bring ZARO, ARC-7 and ZaroLand stories to life on screen.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead the content and production strategy across short-form (reels, shorts, GIFs, memes), mid-form (webisodes, mini-episodes), and corporate/investor storytelling and brand films.
- Build and manage a hybrid production model: in-house creative and production talent where it makes sense, and external studios and freelancers for specialized work.
- Establish and manage the production pipeline: briefs, scripting, storyboards, animatics, production, post-production.
- Work closely with character and story teams to ensure all media is on-model and consistent with ZaroVerse lore and values.
- Partner with Social/Marketing to create assets tailored to each platform and campaign.
- Coordinate with Gaming and Parks on in-universe content, trailers, and experiential storytelling.
- Set and monitor quality standards, timelines, and budgets for all productions.
- Build a small core team (producers, editors, animators, motion designers) and a trusted network of external partners.
- Keep an eye on new formats and platforms (short-form, interactive stories, mixed media) that fit the brand.
What You'll Bring
- 7–12+ years in animation, production, or media leadership – studio, agency, or brand side.
- Solid experience producing animated or mixed-media content from concept to final delivery.
- Comfort managing both creative talent and production logistics (schedules, budgets, vendors).
- Strong visual storytelling sense and the ability to give clear, constructive feedback on work.
- Experience working across multiple platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, broadcast, etc.).
- A pragmatic, delivery-oriented mindset – you can ship consistently without burning teams out.
