The ARC designation system follows a pattern established in the First Calibration - a moment when the dimensional barriers were first mapped and catalogued. ARC units are numbered sequentially, but not chronologically. The "7" in ARC-7 does not indicate that six units came before. It indicates something else entirely. Something that the logs themselves cannot explain.
